The Ozaukee Youth Hockey Association (OYHA) believes strongly in the values of teamwork and sportsmanship. As such, all OYHA players are expected to follow the OYHA Player Code of Conduct. This responsibility is accepted during the registration process. All OYHA participants are expected to abide by the USA Hockey Code of Conduct.
OYHA enforces equal playing time.
The OYHA has adopted a game limit and tournament limit policy for each level of our organization. Coaches or managers who knowingly violate this policy may be permanently removed from our coach or manager pool.
This document sets the standards for our teams. This is not an exhaustive list and anything not covered here may be covered by other OYHA Policy Memos and/or the USA Hockey ADM Best Practices.
The OYHA has adopted the USA Hockey policies and procedures designed for the safety of our youth hockey players.
This is the policy for having players play at the 8U level while still of age for the 6U level or "Learn to Play".
The OYHA demands proper behavior when using both OIC and away rink locker rooms. In addition, all players and coaches are expected to follow the player box and Zamboni safety guidelines.
The OYHA has adopted WAHA policies and procedures on background screening. All team coaches and managers will be required to undergo necessary background screens.
The OYHA has adopted the USA Hockey policies and procedures regarding sexual, phsical,and emotional abuse.
The OYHA is a volunteer based organization. We appreciate all of our volunteers, especially those who do not have children in the organization.
The OYHA has adopted the WAHA Concussion Policy.

The OYHA has adopted the USA Hockey Electronic Communications Policy.
It is club policy that once a player has been assigned to a team, there will be no refund of registration or season fees. The registration fee is the amount required to hold a spot on a roster for a player. The season fee is the total fee due after team placement less the registration fee.
The Hockey Development Committee (HDC) is a sub-committee of the OYHA Committee. It's focus is on hockey development, coaching, organizing tryouts and the overall supervision on all on-ice and off-ice player development.
It is operated under these bylaws.
If a player is unable to register at the beginning of the season, the OYHA Committee may grant that player placement on a team and may prorate the fees.
